OBIT: Bellows Falls Times Bellows Falls July 22 1870. Death of Major Page. Maj. Joel Page died at his home in Westminister on Friday last week July 15 at the ripe age of 79 years. Maj Page had long been known in this section for his hospitality and the delight he felt in dispensing the same to friends. He was a soldier we believe in the war of 1812 and always took the patriotic view in the affairs of the country. He had been in feeble health for sometime fully appreciated his approaching dissolution and gave minute directions as to his funeral selecting bearers etc. His funeral was largely attended on Sunday with Masonic honors with which fraternity he has long been connected being a member of the lodge in Putney.

At that time numerous friends assembled to offer congratulations and gifts. Mrs Hadwen was the daughter of Maj Joel Page of Westminster and niece of Judge Closson of Springfield.
